Only in Miami... 🇺🇸
Miami Beach, United States, July 2021
At the end of July 2021, on my way to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for a humanitarian mission following the volcanic eruption, I found myself in Miami for a quick two-day transfer. Though it was just a brief stop, I took the chance to explore a little, enjoy the atmosphere, and soak in the unique character of Miami Beach.
Miami Beach – A Walk Through Art Deco History
I stayed in a hotel near Miami Beach, which gave me the perfect opportunity to take a walk along the famous boulevard. The pastel-coloured Art Deco buildings, palm-lined streets, and the unmistakable energy of South Beach created an atmosphere that was both glamorous and relaxed.
• I wandered along Ocean Drive, admiring the iconic architecture that has made Miami Beach famous. The neon lights, vintage facades, and tropical aesthetic made it feel like stepping into a classic film.
• I stopped at a bar for a drink, enjoying the lively atmosphere while watching the world go by. The mix of tourists, locals, music, and ocean air made for a truly Miami moment.
• The proximity to the beach added to the magic—there’s something special about the combination of urban vibrancy and tropical relaxation that makes Miami so unique.
A Brief But Memorable Stop
Though my time in Miami was short, it was enough to get a taste of the city’s charm. The Art Deco elegance, the nightlife, and the tropical energy gave me a refreshing break before continuing my journey to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for an important humanitarian mission.
Sometimes, even a brief layover can offer a special experience, and this stop in Miami was exactly that.
