Home for refugees in Santiago de Chile, Chile, December 2022
A visit to Chile, during which, together with UNHCR colleagues, I tried to understand challenges and hopes of migrants (mainly from Venezuela), who arrive to Chile and try to make this country to be their new home. Also, while travelling, I had a chance to observe work and lives of my humanitarian colleagues, who dedicate their lives to serving refugees.
During this trip, we visited various sites in the capital of Santiago de Chile, and Iquique in the north of the country.
As my visit extended over the weekend, I had a chance to explore some tourist attractions of the capital and its surroundings as well.

Dajabon (border with Haiti) Dominican Republic, December 2022
End of year of 2022 is very sad indeed in the Dominican Republic (DR). Thousands of Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent are being deported from the DR to Haiti, sometimes in horrific conditions. People's rights are abused and those affected undergo through tremendous suffering.
My mission to the DR was to find ways to help those who faced deportations and expulsions. Due to sensitivity of the issues, and responsibility for other people, I did not take lots of pictures. This being written, here come some pictures from the trip.
